Rachael grew up in Santa Cruz.  Living in an artfully inclined community and family had a great influence on Rachael.  In high school, Rachael took to wheel throwing ceramics and studied it for three years.  In that time she has sold numerous pieces at community art fairs, done several art shows, and has directed demonstrations teaching the art of wheel throwing.

Rachael has studied Art with an emphasis in ceramics and business at Cabrillo College.  Rachael continues to throw pottery weekly.  When not practicing her art, Rachael loves surfing, traveling, pondering life’s meaning, and taking bike rides.  Rachael is a Santa Cruz resident and aspires to one day be a business owner.

Meet Rachael Newmyer, the Paradise Surf Shop Artist of the Month.  Live music, free food and drink – what a great way to spend a winter evening in Santa Cruz!

All artwork being shown at Paradise is for sale.
