Yvon Chouinard, a well-seasoned retailer and founder of Patagonia visited our shop on New Years Eve, 1997. The owners of Paradise could not have received a better compliment when Mr. Chouinard commented on how well Paradise had captured the feeling of an old time surf shop where people feel welcome to come and sit down and visit for a while.
